FR | Chantal Alvergnas, éleveuse, est arrivée au début des années 1980, peu après la lutte contre l’extension du camp militaire dans les années 1970. Membre de la Société civile des terres du Larzac (SCTL) depuis 1985, elle a notamment siégé au comité de gérance.

EN | Chantal Alvergnas, a livestock farmer, arrived in the early 1980s, shortly after the struggle against the expansion of the military camp in the 1970s. A member of the Société civile des terres du Larzac (SCTL) since 1985, she notably served on the management committee.

FR | Thomas Lesay, installé en 2004 au sein d’un GAEC et compagnon de Chantal Alvergnas, est éleveur de brebis laitières sur le plateau. Alors que les brebis s’abreuvent au réseau, Thomas boit l’eau d’une citerne rénovée dans les années 1980, située « sous l’horloge ».

EN | Thomas Lesay, settled in 2004 within a GAEC and partner of Chantal Alvergnas, is a dairy sheep farmer on the plateau. While the sheep drink from the network, Thomas drinks water from a cistern renovated in the 1980s, located “under the clock.”

FR | Francis Roux, éleveur, a pris part à la lutte dans les années 1970 en occupant les terres dans le cadre du mouvement local. Installé en 1982, il a participé à la création de structures collectives et à la gestion des terres via la SCTL. Près de chez lui, une « mare—lavogne » appartenant à la SCTL. Les lavognes étaient autrefois utilisées comme points d’eau pour les bêtes.

EN | Francis Roux, a livestock farmer, took part in the struggle in the 1970s by occupying the land as part of the local movement. Settled in 1982, he contributed to the creation of collective structures and the management of the land through the SCTL. Near his home, a “mare—lavogne” belonging to the SCTL. Lavognes were formerly used as watering points for livestock.
